Hi everyone! On this New Year’s Eve, I’ll be doing everything that needs to be done for this last day of 2012, mainly, the WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge: My 2012 in Pictures, the WordPress annual report, some ramblings on the 2012-13 transition…
First of all, for this week’s photo challenge, it was suggested that we present 12 photos at least in a gallery to make an overview of 2012, but I’m going to break the rules and thus here’s my contribution:
My 2012 in 1 Picture

Today, we live in a world of extroverts. We, introverts, feel marginalised.
At least, I do.

Since I missed the ‘delicate‘ theme, I decided to blend it with this week’s ‘surprise‘!
Delicate
When I think of ‘delicate’, I think of something fragile and sweet… Desserts?

So this is Christmas…
But what have you done?
That night I saw an angel fall from the sky. Her golden hair gradually lost its shine as she reached the ground. Her beautiful white gown was stained with dirt. I could not see her eyes or her face, but I knew that she was the loveliest thing that could ever exist on Earth. She looked so fragile and innocent.

Today, I’d like to share something special to you. I’m sorry if I’m missing the Weekly Photo Challenges – they’ll come a little late.
It’s Christmas time and every in the world, people are gathering within their family, among their friends, buying gifts, giving and receiving them, preparing Christmas dinner, and most of all, putting up the Christmas tree.

In a few hours, as predicted by the Mayans – or more precisely, the media – we will all be die. It is the end of our world.
Or not.

Do you believe in any of this? I don’t. In about 2 hours, here it will be the 22/12/12 and there still hasn’t been any tsunami warning or violent cyclones or incoming flood or deadly earthquakes… Or not even snow. (NB: it never snows in tropical regions, so if there will ever be snowing here in Mauritius, I believe it might be a reason to get worried.)

The adolescent years can be quite turbulent for young people, as they face a new set of physical and emotional challenges. Even teens that live in a stable home environment have a difficult time when they reach their teens. The situation can escalate when both parents work full time and have little time to spend with their troubled teens.

Many parents of troubled teens resort to boarding schools as the solution to helping their young people overcome “teen problems.” Although boarding schools are not miracle cures, they do offer a solid structure that includes academic education, vocational training, outdoor activities, etc. that can keep teens busy and challenged. The following recreational activities are but a few that can help relieve some of the tension and stress that teens go through at this time of their lives.

Hey! I’m finally back to Picture it & Write
But I won’t be continuing The Unpredicted series though…
Anyway, enjoy my contribution!

It was over.
She fell back onto the soft black velvet couch and let her phone slide down from her palm and fall onto the red carpet. It was over, even before it ever started. She did not cry though. She was out of tears. She was not surprised either. She had known this would happen.
But she felt terribly empty… and lonely.

Changing seasons? Here in Mauritius, being a tropical island, we have put our winter coats away and gave in to the warmth of the summer rays! It’s getting hotter and hotter every day!
May the sun reach you as well, those who live in the upper regions and are getting colder as the snow sets on the ground.
And I never write in the literal meaning only…
Be Strong. Always.
And enjoy the holiday season!
An Evil Nymph.

Hey, it’s 12.12.12!!!
Make a wish… or not.
Anyway, all right, ‘The Next Big Thing’ is in fact a sort of blog hop post, in which I’ll have to answer questions and then choose other bloggers to answer them as well… Sort of an award

So thanks to Chelsea Brown19 for nominating me!
The questions are basically for already published writers or aspiring ones – me being the latter – and here they are:

Well, here are some tips that might help you out:

A lonely but cute little sea urchin trying to get to the sun while being under water. I love how the rays of the sun make that irregular but beautiful pattern when being reflected on the surface of the shallow sea…

December has already started but it’s only today that I finally got the time to sit down and write the first December post! Since NaNoWriMo is over, I’ve been enjoying myself a lot hehe, and thus taking a little break from my novel. I’ll start the editing maybe next week
To begin, I’d like to thank every blogger who has been giving me awards this month!
Thanks to you,
Book To The Future for nominating me for the Gargie Award and the Liebster Award!
