The Writer-Wolf

by evilnymphstuff

They picture it and I write; here’s this week’s Picture it & Write:

half moon

Suddenly she burst out of the room.

She had known it all along. Her boss was an evil monster. She had seen him, his face vehemently changing into a disgusting greyish weird shape, while his nose and eyebrows had seemed to melt and his teeth falling off…

A Two-Faced Heaven

by evilnymphstuff

I’m slowly getting back to blogging after an awesome weekend at the Tamassa hotel, and I’m soon getting back to visiting your blogs. :)

Meanwhile, here’s a poem of mine that I wrote not too long ago, which basically on the idea that perfection doesn’t exist, not even in Heaven.

***

A Two-Faced Heaven

*

The doors to Heaven open to a white light

Blinding; angels of perfection

Pouring a liquor of bliss and bright

Pride into our hearts and soul.

Some great expectation

And excellence is believed to be in our control.

Merry Ostara 2012!

by evilnymphstuff

Today as Wiccans we are celebrating the Spring equinox, also known as Ostara. It’s one of the eight Wiccans sabbats and thus a time to be closest to the God and Goddess. Blessed Be!

It’s an ideal time to take a walk outside in parks or forests… Be around nature. Feel its motherly energy.

I’ve read that earth meditation is great too and very simple to do, especially if you’re a solitary practitioner. You just have to lie on the ground in a natural park/place where you won’t be disturbed and start taking in the vibrant energies that the Goddess provides in such a blossoming time.

Therefore, merry Ostara everyone! Whether you being Wiccan or not, we are all allowed to celebrate Spring together :)

NaNo is stalking Me!

by evilnymphstuff

It’s really true you know, the fact that your characters tend to build the story by themselves. My NaNo novel is quie different from my actual planning, but that’s great. As I type on, I keep getting more ideas, I get to know more about my characters. It’s awesome!

And how is NaNo stalking me? Well, my story is about Angels and Daemons and right now I’m concentrating on the most gorgeous one called Gabriel, and on Saturday when I went shopping, I could stop seeing ‘angelic’ things. Don’t worry, no Hallucinations! What I mean is that in stalls I could see clothes which make you feel like you are an angel when you put it on, just like this one:

November Day 3: NaNoWriMo Day 3

by evilnymphstuff

I was planning on posting every day this month due to NaNo but well I don’t think I’ll be able to LOL so there’s no “day 2″ post sorry about that. I might be posting like every 2 days or so… and not only on NaNo because I don’t want to annoy the non-participants either…

Last time when I published my NaNo day 1: Starting the Fire in Heaven post (by the way the title “Starting the Fire…” has been chosen because of my NaNo novel title “Burning in Heaven” in case you didn’t read previous NaNo posts and thus didn’t have a clue about that), wordpress showed the usual message:

“You’ve now published 75 posts on this blog!”

But there was also this second part which I found very funny:

“This is your 1st post tagged nanowrimo2011. Youve written 708 words and your novel is now 1.4% complete. Wicked!”

Haha!! Well sorry but I’m not writing my novel on WordPress but in my dear forever writing friend: Microsoft Words. And I thought that if I tagged my posts “nanowrimo2011″ it meant that I was writing about NaNo, tips etc… It’s written here anyway:

My NaNoWriMo’11 Novel Idea (Part 2)

by evilnymphstuff

>>Part one HERE.

Angel: “I wonder what it’s like to be evil.”

Daemon: “I wonder what it’s like to be good.”

Human: “Believe me, I’ve been both.”

This resumes the whole message of the novel and this has been taken from my Idea Copybook! :) It’s all about the Imperfection of Humans, and that we have to accept because no good could have existed without evil and vice versa, don’t you think so? I was reading some informative book about worldwide clans like Satanism and it said that without Satan, there wouldn’t have been any Church. It’s like the Yin and the Yang… both completes each other though they contrast each other.

This is a concept that I totally agree with, that I follow in life.

yin yang image

Used to describe how polar opposites or seemingly contrary forces are interconnected and interdependent in the natural world, and how they give rise to each other in turn. Opposites thus only exist in relation to each other. (Wikipedia)

The background of my NaNo is very fantastical, full of irrealism, but I like to write things like that :P

Happy Chinese Moon Festival!

by evilnymphstuff

Hey! Just went back from a traditional family dinner we have every year, small dinner at my grandma’s, where we celebrated the day when the moon is closest to the Earth and is completely full.

I don’t really know what the custom is in China, but here in my family, here’s what we do:

First we eat dinner… of course! lol! a rich dinner and great wine (yeah! my uncle really knows how to choose the best). We have to wait for the moon to appear, because it’s often cloudy. Meanwhile the parents have to light up the red chinese candles… in front of the window which opens up to a direct and clear view of the moon. We place three plates with moon cakes and three glasses of chinese tea next to the candles. It is believed that there are 3 Gods coming and therefore are eating and drinking these while we light up the candles. We pray to them.

Unfortunately we don’t usually take photos so I can’t really show you what happened… anyway I really love this festival. It’s so simple, it’s only among us, small family group…

So we wait for the candles to melt half of their heights – time when the gods are accepting our gifts, and believe me Chinese Gods love to eat! xP – before we open the window to start some sort of ‘ritual': we have to give money to the gods.

The ‘money’ is some special yellow red papers we just burn then throw outside. My father is ready to splash water in case an accident happens… that’s so funny! The children always rush to watch and want to burn too, but it’s too dangerous.

What’s always stunning and fun is that every year, the sky is cloudy and every year the moment we light our first paper ‘money’ to give to the gods… the moon just shows up! Just like that! Due to superstitions we enjoy ourselves saying that we have to burn everything before it hides behind the clouds again.

Ritual is now almost done and the final stage is very easy: we do what Chinese people always love to do: EAT. :D

Yeps we eat moon cakes! If ever you’re wondering how are these fascinating moon cakes I quickly took some photos at home for you:

It’s not necessarily in such a beautiful box… usually they’re placed separately in small plastic bags but this box is so beautiful that I had to share this with you :)

See? Separate in plastic bags :D

Anyway I feel so tired now… going to go to sleep! I drank Chinese tea but although it should make me stay awake it doesn’t work on me lol! just like coffee… to me they’re just some nice drinks :P Only fizzy drinks can make me stay awake! ^^

Write to you next time!
