An 18-year-old girl who is passionate about the wonderful craft of writing, and whose hobbies change every year. Writing is not a hobby, it is a passion, and she is a writer at heart... although at times she might seem to be someone else. ;)
Is the Grand Prize Winner of The Dark Globe’s First Ever “Create a World Writing Contest”!
Now you’ll know why I wasn’t able to blog until now.
So yeah, on Friday, it was my birthday. I’m not the party-girl type, so I didn’t have a very big party with drinks and evening dresses…
It was better than that.
And that was because we went on our annual educational tour (school outing) on that day! Such a coincidence, right? So we put our pens and copybooks away and headed for the wild forests…
In fact we went to Domaine De Lagrave where we walked among the wilds and climbed on top of a mountain until we thought we would die of exhaustion or cold or… laughter!
I wasn’t sure which photos to post for this week’s challenge, which is Culture, since there has been nothing in my life that has been photographically culturally interesting… (lol) but, browsing through this year’s photos, I found these:
Illumination… An interesting theme to tackle since New Year celebrations have just passed… Thus I photographed little fireworks (the one that we place on the ground and which remains on the ground even when we light it up!)
The video Gangnam Style (which I obviously won’t have to link here because everyone know what I’m talking about) by PSY has become such a viral success around the globe in so little time, that, with the blink of an eye, I found myself in that K-pop addictive boat as well, heading towards an adventure I could never have imagined…
I am not the type of person who every year make a list of resolutions. But there are things that I keep in mind, things that I wish for, things that I want to happen during the year.
I’m sorry I wasn’t able to do this post earlier but I’m very busy with school and I’m having some mood swings too – typical of a teen – but anyway, it’s obvious that my short one-week trip to Malaysia hasn’t left me untouched. Sincerely I love it there, I love to discover another culture… and be among people who only have either an iPhone or a Samsung Galaxy SII!
Seriously, if you’ve already gone there or if one day you go there, I’ll make sure in this post that you haven’t/won’t missed anything. Feel free to add more to the list. Otherwise… here are the 10 awesome things I did in Malaysia:
1. Shopping à volonté!
Storeys and storeys of shops… some especially selling high quality shoes at a low price
Truly the variety and affordable range of products you can get in Kuala Lumpur mainly are infinite!
And the first thing I thought of when I saw my laptop at last was to catch up on the weekly photo challenges! These posts are just so fun to do.
So here we go!
Weekly Photo Challenge: Two Subjects
I have two interpretations for this one. All taken in Malaysia.
The first one is most likely to be obvious for those familiar with Malaysia, especially Kuala Lumpur (where I was) because the one thing you absolutely have to visit there if you have the chance to go is the Twin Towers!
Tomorrow is at last the most important festival of the Chinese tradition: the New Year! Even more important than the usual 1st Jan new year… My family and I have a lot to do… and enjoy!
This year will be the year of the Dragon – from the Chinese horoscope.
We’ve been busy ‘spring cleaning’ – yes because Chinese new year also symbolises the coming of spring time – and buy new clothes! ^^ Then when the big day comes, we’ll first go to mass (here we’re almost all half-Catholic half-Chinese) and light firecrackers just like the ones I filmed on my New Year’s vid post. Hehe I can’t believe I’m still not deaf! And after a traditional lunch… We’re heading to the hotel!! Yeah! I’m going to stay for two nights thus I’ll return home on Wednesday (missing school I know lol but well every year’s it’s been like that!). I don’t know if I’m going to blog during my stay… Just to let you know. ^^
Happy Chinese New Year! Hope it brings good fortune let loose the dragon inside of you!
For New Year I received a brand new award called Candle Lighter from kweschn.wordpress.com! Thanks so much again!
The rules:
Whenever you see a post or blog that you think brings light to the world, put a copy of this post and give them The Candle Lighter Award. What does the recipient have to do to accept it? Just accept it. They can copy and paste the photo on this post onto their blog. What else do recipients have to do? Nothing. If they think someone else is a Candle Lighter, they can surely give them the award anytime and as often as they want. There is no limit to how many blogs you award TheCandle Lighter Award to and no limit to how many times someone can receive it.
Hey I hope that everyone is enjoying the Christmas and New Year holidays For Christmas, as I don’t believe in Santa Claus anymore LOL, I usually ask a special present and I get it in advance. Yes indeed IN ADVANCE. Why?
i) I’m so excited that I can’t wait,
ii) I prefer to give gifts instead of receiving one for Christmas.
I love the fact that I can surprise my little sister or help my parents wrap the presents. I like to be Sister Christmas you see This holiday season is a time for giving, sharing…
And for those good deeds (that everyone should do), sometimes in the end I get an additional gift that appears in the middle of the early morning (after midnight lol) under the Christmas tree… like the time when my parents totally surprised me by offering me Dan Brown’s latest “The Lost Symbol” in the original cover + a book guide to it!!!
