I think I’m WAY too dramatic!

TRUE-BASED STORY:

So I’ve just barely started to use WordPress and after 4 posts I get notified that my blog has been deactivated because I violate their terms!! This really turned me down! Fortunately there was a link to contact the staff in case it was just an error. I didn’t understand how my blog could already have been reported so I begin to dramatize! As a ‘writer’ I began to imagine lots of scenario: how will be my evening without be able to post these new fresh blog ideas that got into my mind while I was eating??!!

Therefore I contacted them of course and here’s what I wrote:

“I’ve only registered to WordPress some hours before I got deactivated. I had the time to customise my blog, which is a random stuff blog, for everyone’s leisure, and post 4 posts… and hop! deactivated. I think it is an error as I don’t blog for advertising or promotion and I don’t even blog to get money or whatsoever. It’s one of my favourite hobbies since I’ve started on Blogger so I just wanted to try here… Please reactivate my blog! I’m only a girl 16 that needs to escape the stress of life by writing and sharing!”

LOL I got this one by email which told me: Thank you for your support request! xD

Then I decided to do some research about similar cases but forums were no good! I had to contact the staff directly… So I sent them another message but this time by the support WordPress page and I didn’t get this one by mail. (or was it the THAT one that I got by mail? Anyway I can’t remember; I was so shaken! The abnormal dramatic teen girl)

Then I signed in to Twitter and released my frustration by tweeting…

Fearing that it would take at least a whole week for my request to be read, I decided that I couldn’t NOT write. So I got back to my Dashboard and the message telling me that my blog was deactivated so I was tempted to contact them a 3rd time! I wrote another paragraph about my begging… then went to the support page to send another support request…

One of these were:

“Please reactivate my blog. I now know what mistake I made… I put on too much links on one post: “11 websites I’m addicted to when I’m connected”. I won’t do it again I promise. Please give me back my freedom…”

Yes indeed that was how I got deactivated. Because of links I’ve put in my post: “11 Websites I’m addicted to when I’m connected”…

Finally I got a quicker reply than what I expected… I just didn’t bother checking my mail – stupid me! – in which a staff member, Anthony had already replied to my requests. He said:

“Hi,
Can any links to http://www.rylanclayne.com be removed, please? These are not permitted on WordPress.com, and our system has an automatic check in place for them.

Thank you very much.

Anthony”

I can’t tell you how I felt such a fool!! LOL and I can’t believe this happened some moments ago!

Anyway I had to share this with you!

Have a nice day!!

  1. I am sorry that this has happened to you. Your blog is similar to my idea. I just started today and by reading this post, actually taught me to not use too many links in a post. lol Thanks! 😀

  2. I’ve recently started a site, the info you provide on this web site has helped me greatly. Thanks for all of your time & work. “You do ill if you praise, but worse if you censure, what you do not understand.” by Leonardo DaVinci.
