>>Part one HERE.
Angel: “I wonder what it’s like to be evil.”
Daemon: “I wonder what it’s like to be good.”
Human: “Believe me, I’ve been both.”
This resumes the whole message of the novel and this has been taken from my Idea Copybook! 🙂 It’s all about the Imperfection of Humans, and that we have to accept because no good could have existed without evil and vice versa, don’t you think so? I was reading some informative book about worldwide clans like Satanism and it said that without Satan, there wouldn’t have been any Church. It’s like the Yin and the Yang… both completes each other though they contrast each other.
This is a concept that I totally agree with, that I follow in life.
Used to describe how polar opposites or seemingly contrary forces are interconnected and interdependent in the natural world, and how they give rise to each other in turn. Opposites thus only exist in relation to each other. (Wikipedia)
The background of my NaNo is very fantastical, full of irrealism, but I like to write things like that 😛
So Ere the Earth was born…
There are many worlds that exist, and two of them are the Good and the Evil. (Might give names, I don’t know). Anyway I think you’ve guessed that in the Good world, is where Angels and Archangels reside and in the Evil one are the Daemons and Archeamons. In the beginning of time, they would join their forces together to create what we now call the Universe.
Angels would provide for air and water, and deamons for earth and fire. Though they would often get into fights they ended up creating planet Earth 😀
An angel named Gabriel (one of my friends’ favourite) then wondered what it was like to be a deamon and same with Lucy, a daemon (derived from Lucifer of course!) wondered about it too. They ended up falling in love though it was strictly forbidden…
I guess you know how the first human was created? Yep they got a child and in fact in the end as the angels and the daemons were not that much in war, and because they were at the same time searching for a species to inhabit planet Earth…
That’s how we humans are both good and evil 🙂
But with the advance of our brain and evolution and technology etc, the Earth became polluted, over-used etc… and our “ancestors” aren’t happy about that at all. Therefore the two main Archangel and Archaemon (those we call Gods) The Horai and The Morrígan came on Earth to fetch us all as they want to destroy Earth to rebuild it. But once we choose one side (either Good or Evil) we are prone to become Angels/Daemons and therefore in the human language this means death! =O
And I guess that they won’t have the desire to make this mistake of creating humans again…
Alright so coming to the plot of my novel itself…
My heroine has gone through the wrong path. She went towards the Angel instead of going towards Morrígan… and instead of becoming an Angel her body will unexpectedly change into a daemon… (every human is both good and evil but there is always one more dominant than the other – it’s difficult to keep everything in balance you know…)
I was therefore thinking of the title…
At first I wanted to name it: “I’m neither black nor white, I’m Graith” (my heroine is called Elaine Graith) but well… no good!
Then I thought of “To survive” (because every species of any kind has the same goal in life: to survive… 🙂 got this from Terminator SCC)
Then “Survival”
Then “Forbidden”…
Well I have no idea… I’m still doing some brainstorming about it and checking every time in Google if the title is already taken. But in fact I want my title to:
i) Stand out
ii) Be an easy-to-remember short phrase
iii) Be rather dramatic
iv) Not directly conveying what’s in the book… like “Twilight” which you understand the title only after you’ve read it…
Suggestions? 🙂
If you are participating in NaNo…
What about you? Want to share your idea too? If you share it on your blog I would be glad to get the link! Or just comment in the box below!

You’re welcome! My first time too 😀 alright!
Titles are so hard, aren’t they? A friend and I were just discussing the other day how we kind of like titles that are a line from the book like, “The Sky is Everywhere”. I’m blah at coming up with titles, but they are important. Good luck to you in NaNoWriMo!
Nice! Thank you 🙂
Hy, i saw those suggested tittles, “dark lab” u just added light to my stormed brain.
You’re welcome 🙂
A line or phrase from a poem you like that is related to your novel’s theme is sometimes a good choice, also.
Thanks for your suggestion 🙂 I am now actually thinking of “Burning in Heaven”… 🙂
You really are a thinking person, love your theme, the paradoxes of the universe, all at the tip of your pen/mind 🙂
Thanks! 🙂
Good luck with Nano! You are brave 🙂
Thank you 🙂
Great stuff nymph! I love it! 🙂
