Snow Time… or Not

by evilnymphstuff

Hey so December is on the other side of the door… and so is Christmas :) A month of joy and festivities!

But here we miss some of the magic because, well we don’t have snow. I’ve always dreamt of touching snow… but well, here it’s tropical weather and it’s summer of Christmas! Fortunately I don’t really mind…

Anyway this week, I want to share with you another contribution I made to Picture it & Write by Ermilia’s blog. The picture is:

For those who have already reached 50,000 words…

by evilnymphstuff

Congrats!!!! :D

I’ve reached 50k words too yesterday night ^^ (did you see my winning badge on the right??) but hell, my novel is nowhere near ready! I feel like I’m still halfway in the writing. I reviewed it briefly yesterday and realised that I have much much to edit and all that. But really, I thank NaNo because thanks to this challenge I am now determined to finish the story and maybe next year or when I’ll be ready for it: I’ll go and publish. My dad told me he’d help me if I do. :)

Weekly Photo Challenge: Breakfast

by evilnymphstuff

Haha! For those who know me well this is what I would’ve heard when they’d read the theme of the challenge of the week. To tell you the truth most of the time when I stay home, I don’t eat breakfast. I just tend to forget about it, compared to when I’m at school because school demands a lot of mental efforts — and you know what? I’m more tired when I do mental things than when I exercise physically!

Don’t do what I do, do what I say.

That’s a great quote, because I don’t encourage you not to eat breakfast. Eat your breakfast!! It’s the most important meal you should have in your every day routine! For mostly everyone it’s not and it’s rather dinner that comes out to be the most important, but scientifically that’s not true. Eat breakfast please. Every day.

I’m not perfect, I know… but anyway, I made an effort to have a breakfast today, for the challenge’s sake… and also because I felt slightly hungry this morning :) Might be because I slept on my book last night? (or very early this morning)

Happy breakfast everyone!

morning breakfast

This morning I invited my friends Shira and Andy (please check out their blogs) to share breakfast with me — virtually via Twitter LOL — and we ate crunchy bread with Nutella and digested everything with a cup of coffee! ^^ (I drink my coffee with a small amount of milk in it by the way)

Have a nice Friday everyone!!!

Getting to Know More About My Characters…

by evilnymphstuff

I usually plan my characters first, before going on to the plot, when I write a story. Sometimes when I get a great idea – great for me LOL – I note it down of course, then I let myself dive into a whole new universe…

universe and galaxy

I sort of enter a relationship with every of the characters I made up and as I get to know more about them, I slowly build up a plot that will maybe never be written – haha, because I’ve never thought of seriously writing a novel before I met NaNo.

Just Like in the Movies…

by evilnymphstuff

After a whole week of celebrations – wedding anniversary, birthday, christening (yes and I’m the lucky godmother!! :D), etc… it’s finally time for me to rest…

Um wait, what?

Rest? haha still dreaming.

Yesterday I went to my first Alliance Française course for the year – it’s a course I take every year on French and especially in Literature. At the year end which is in July in this system, I have to take part in exams of course.

But this year is different because I’m shifting. I’m going a class higher, and because in my village they don’t have teachers available at that higher stage, I have to move out to town. So from now on, every Monday and possibly Tuesday, I have to travel to town to attend the classes. It’ll be tiring especially when school will start again, but well I have no other choice.

Anyway, what I wanted to tell you today is that yesterday, my first course was… um interesting.

And just like in the movies…

I felt so lonely.

Wonder means dreaming for me :) Dreaming of a better world, a hopeful future and a wonderful present – I mean present time… well I like gifts too. LOL

My cousin was celebrating his 7th birthday – on the same date that my parents were celebrating their 20th anniversary – on the 17th November.

Isn’t that great? :)

Ramblings and Shopping Haul of a 16-year-old girl

by evilnymphstuff

Heya! My parents celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary on the 17th November :D yeahh!!

So we all went to stay at my grandma’s so that we would be able to do some shopping in town the next day. A new shopping mall has been inaugurated in October but I didn’t have time to go there because of my exams, but on the day that I was taking part in my last exams paper, my friends and I quickly headed to the mall to have a look :) The mall’s called Bagatelle:

And today I went there for a second time… still for visiting! lol it’s far bigger than our usual malls so… I didn’t buy that much and moreover we also went shopping in town itself. Anyway still, I’m going to do a haul – ’cause I love those! ^^

Sketch of a Daemon Girl

by evilnymphstuff

In my NaNo novel, the main protagonist is called Elaine Graith and she is the girl who becomes a daemon but is stuck in Heaven. One afternoon, I took pencil and paper and drew a quick sample of her.

Master it or Die

by evilnymphstuff

Every week organise a ‘picture it and write’ post, where we all are given an image, and based on that and our perception, we write either a poem or a short story on that. This time the picture was:

Weekly Photo Challenge: Windows

by evilnymphstuff

Windows have been frequently used in literature to represent a barrier between two distinct worlds, or an entrance to another world, depending on the context.

chinese red curtains and windows

This is one of the windows at home, and as you can see I preferred to take its photo when closed by curtains as windows are openings. Windows are a portal to our soul, especially those at your house. Most of the time the curtains are drawn, therefore it conveys my shy and introvert personality.

By the way the chinese rambles on it mean: “The Little Brother is King.” LOL I like that because indeed my little brother is so spoiled… but well I can’t help but love him! :) he’s so cute!

What does windows tell about you?

Nano? Are you still with me?

by evilnymphstuff

If you have been following me on Twitter you might have noticed that… well I haven’t tweeted much these days and neither did I posted much on my blog because I had a full week of depression + exams + keeping up on NaNo.

Fortunately NaNo wasn’t that much of a problem, only that it really used up all my spare time! :P

Anway this will be a short post…

Everyday I’m trying to write at least 2000 words instead of the usual 1667 so that you’re safer… :) and also because I discovered a horrible thing about Microsoft words:

The word counter is terrible!

NaNo is stalking Me!

by evilnymphstuff

It’s really true you know, the fact that your characters tend to build the story by themselves. My NaNo novel is quie different from my actual planning, but that’s great. As I type on, I keep getting more ideas, I get to know more about my characters. It’s awesome!

And how is NaNo stalking me? Well, my story is about Angels and Daemons and right now I’m concentrating on the most gorgeous one called Gabriel, and on Saturday when I went shopping, I could stop seeing ‘angelic’ things. Don’t worry, no Hallucinations! What I mean is that in stalls I could see clothes which make you feel like you are an angel when you put it on, just like this one:

Weekly Photo Challenge: Hidden

by evilnymphstuff

When I think about ‘hidden’ I mainly think of secrets, of forbidden things…

This is not my secret diary though LOL – my secret diary is a password protected Microsoft Word document.
