Weekly Photo Challenge: Between

Between my life as a student/sister/daughter and my life as a writer, I’ve also tried many other things.

I was watching the movie Fame (2009) the other day and in there a girl who played piano excellently admitted that she had never tried anything else. That’s why she was unsure of who she was, what she liked. She always did what her parents told her to do. Of course in the end she realised that she loved singing and that’s what she decided to do as a career.

When we try, we take risks, but then we also discover and learn new things and it is then that you will be certain whenever what you did is what you should do.

So in November-December 2009, I began to learn how to play piano.

Merry Christmas + Awards Giveaway

Christmas is finally here🙂

And because this is an appropriate time for giving, I would like to share two blog awards with you! In fact I have been receiving the Versatile blogger award many times and most were given by Andy from dragoneystory.wordpress.com and the One Lovely Blog award from Ermilia (ermiliablog.wordpress.com) which I didn’t find time to pass on.

Christmas’s Ancestor: Yule

Today many Wiccans in the world are celebrating the winter solstice, also know as Yule. I’m not much of a practitioner myself because my family is strongly Catholic (not that they are narrow-minded but well… they somewhat know that I’m interested in Wicca anyway) but I love Wicca traditions and I always wear my purple pentacle during those seasonal festivals. Sometimes I find the time and opportunity to light a candle or incense for the goddess or use runes and symbols especially for healing and protection…

Wicca is simply everywhere.

Today it’s been raining cats and dogs though we had 100% sunshine during the whole week… and I’d like to thank the Goddess for that because my country has been lacking fresh water and we were in a period of drought.

My Writing Mistakes [Special 100th post!]

I can’t believe that I’m currently writing my 100th post after more than four months in WordPress’s blogging community. Time flies so quickly! Before I come to the point of this post I want to thank you all for being here -virtually- and reading my blog. I’m so grateful to all of you for supporting me in my writing/blogging path. Love you all guys!

thank you!

Now to the main subject: as this is a special post I wanted to share some advice… Or anything that might help you. I like my posts to be useful, productive so that at least I know that my readers will have learnt something or enjoyed this reading moment. I want that my writing contributes to at least making you smile.🙂

We writers usually write to create a particular effect to our readers, to pass a message to the world.

This is how writing is an art, a passion.
