First of all I’d like to thank all of my readers for supporting me throughout my WordPressing journey since 1 Aug 2011, because I recently reached 100 email subscribers! 🙂 Again thank you so much!
For this week’s photo challenge, I’m going to show you the picture of the Mauritian sky (again) but this time it’s been taken at twilight, because then the very first star appears. And it’s simply mesmerising.
Do you see the little white dot on the right side of the photograph?
Yes, it’s simple as that.

Why avoid the unavoidable? Life itself is so simple, but we make it complicated.
We limit ourselves… and sometimes it just makes everything worse.
“I’ve been making a list of the things they don’t teach you at school. They don’t teach you how to love somebody. They don’t teach you how to be famous. They don’t teach you how to be rich or how to be poor. They don’t teach you how to walk away from someone you don’t love any longer. They don’t teach you how to know what’s going on in someone else’s mind. They don’t teach you what to say to someone who’s dying. They don’t teach you anything worth knowing.”
― Neil Gaiman, The Sandman, Vol. 9: The Kindly Ones
Yes, for teenagers, school is a perfect example of what I’m going to write about today. Of course, I won’t say that this type of education isn’t important; it does have advantages like, it is now critical to have passed high school and at least followed tertiary courses to have a stable and respectable job.

Tomorrow is at last the most important festival of the Chinese tradition: the New Year! Even more important than the usual 1st Jan new year… My family and I have a lot to do… and enjoy!
This year will be the year of the Dragon – from the Chinese horoscope.
We’ve been busy ‘spring cleaning’ – yes because Chinese new year also symbolises the coming of spring time 🙂 – and buy new clothes! ^^ Then when the big day comes, we’ll first go to mass (here we’re almost all half-Catholic half-Chinese) and light firecrackers just like the ones I filmed on my New Year’s vid post. Hehe I can’t believe I’m still not deaf! And after a traditional lunch… We’re heading to the hotel!! Yeah! I’m going to stay for two nights thus I’ll return home on Wednesday (missing school I know lol but well every year’s it’s been like that!). I don’t know if I’m going to blog during my stay… Just to let you know. ^^
Happy Chinese New Year! Hope it brings good fortune 🙂 let loose the dragon inside of you!
An Evil Nymph.
After an exhausting day… which is better than this?
An evening sky to stare at… Soothing your mind, erasing your worries for some instants. When I was young I used to stare at the clouds and make out the shapes they showed me.
A peaceful period of life for most of us. 🙂

My little sister was about to do some research on Wikipedia but it was blacked out. Didn’t really understand the situation at first. But then I was about to post this week’s photo challenge on WordPress, but when I entered the site, I saw that all the Freshly Pressed were censored! I then clicked on one of them and saw something like a strike… while going to my mail to see whether anyone else was talking about this… Everyone is eventually talking about this and spreading the message… and really, this PIPA/SOPA is serious matter, guys…

How can we as writers combined the two? Keep reading!
I don’t know if you’ve noticed but on the sidebar there’s a Polyvore widget. What’s Polyvore? It’s a website for those who like to virtually create their own fashion trends and styles, who make up outfits or simply express themselves through combining images to form a unique masterpiece.
I’ve been on Polyvore for quite a long time but it was only a few days earlier that I really got into it. You can check out my profile HERE (and add me if you have an account too ^^ if you wish!). I got the idea from the dragon-lover and writer Shéa MacLeod: to make up my own character’s outfits! (check out MacLeod’s Polyvore too!)
And this is just so so fun!
For example I did 3 outfits for my protagonist who is Elaine Graith – the daemon girl stuck in Heaven:
