Sites of the Month: May 2012 [+ Kreativ Blogger Award!]

Apart from my birthday, what can I possibly share with you for the month of May…?

First of all let’s say that I was very much concerned about my future as a student – i.e. I was browsing through various universities’ websites, and I’ve found many to which I might apply – all around the world! And then I thought about my career and dreams and I have two of them: creative writing (ha! of course! who wouldn’t have guessed that xD) and performing arts – which is plainly acting.

Yes I’m a fan of drama, of pretending to be someone else, learning lines by heart and playing in front of a crowd – I love this so much! I can’t express how much I feel… complete, sort of, when I’m on stage. It’s similar to when I sit down and start drowning myself in a particular plot of mine that I just can’t wait to dream of 24/24. These two passions are just so exciting, thrilling and… risky.

Anyway if you are not sure how to reach a particular career, I’d suggest this awesome application by the University of Melbourne which helps you find the way from your studies to your dream career!

For aspiring make-up artists here is a great website that I strongly recommend if you’re serious about this career: Robert Jones Beauty Academy.

Do you know how it feels to be rejected by your mother simply because of your sexuality? Bobby knew it in the movie Prayers for Bobby and I find that the quotes in it are so moving! Definitely worth it!

SL has so many meanings: Second Life, Super Love, Straight Lesbian… in any ways, I so love this SL t-shirt created by Shane Dawson!

Because I’ve done enough research for my creative writing dreams for the moment, I started to research on acting, and here’s what I got to begin: How to Become an Actor. Then Google and YouTube are your friends.

I wish I was like Cassandra Clare. She is such a talented and successful writer that I’m jealous! 😀

Have you ever heard of brick artists? They’re people who, like any kind of artists, remain in their childhood days and still play with Lego 🙂 Here’s a very talented brick artist: Nathan Sawaya. You won’t regret having clicked on his name.

Alright, getting back to serious stuff…

For young students who wish to study in UK – you should definitely check out UCAS ! It’s not a university but it’s a website that enables you to apply in multiple UK universities easily online. 🙂 Good luck!

And at last, here is what course I wish to aim for for the moment: a BA Scriptwriting and Performance at University of East Anglia, because not only does it say that this university is well-known for its great creative writing courses, but also because this particular course I just linked connects creative writing and acting together! And that’s awesome!

Do what you love, because remember that the main goal of living is to be happy – no matter what 🙂
