Hey, it’s 12.12.12!!! 🙂 Make a wish… or not.
Anyway, all right, ‘The Next Big Thing’ is in fact a sort of blog hop post, in which I’ll have to answer questions and then choose other bloggers to answer them as well… Sort of an award 😉
So thanks to Chelsea Brown19 for nominating me!
The questions are basically for already published writers or aspiring ones – me being the latter – and here they are:
1. What is the working title of your book?
Child Of Chaos.
2. Where did the idea come from for the book?
It comes from my little 13 year old self who’s fallen for a television French advertising of the Mastermind game… The weirdest source of idea I ever had, but the best one, well I hope, because it remained in my head, it persisted to go on paper even today when I’m 17 years old…
3. What genre does your book fall under?
Young Adult, I guess, but not all characters and narrators are young adults though, so it’s more of a mixture of paranormal, extraterrestrial, fantasy stuff…
4. Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition?
Omg, I have no idea… Maybe I had the idea for years in mind, but I only recently developed a plot, and mainly all my characters come from my own little pack… characters with unique features that I created myself and for the moment I can find no actor to replace them…
But maybe Ashley Greene could be Judy Harris…
5. What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book?
Can a 16-year-old girl overpower her dark evil powers and triumph with the good, despite the several warnings that her fate with destruction and terror has already been sealed?
Just made that on the spot. Lol. Hope it’s enough for readers to be hooked… 😉
6. What is the longer synopsis of your book?
Nya is 16 years old, and yet she has to face the hardest battle of all: the battle against herself. Born to be evil, being the Mastermind of Chaos, she has fortunately been brought up by Heila Willow, a writer – the most powerful Human species on their planet, Homothea. Together with the help of her other friends, Nya struggles every day to try to control her dark powers and use them for good. But it is easy to fall under the charm of evilness, especially as a horde of vampires decide to rebel and become strangely stronger as the days pass, and that their leader is no other than deadly Kerra…
7. Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency?
I’m heading for the self-publishing thing… except if a miracle happens, I don’t know. 😛
8. How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?
I wrote the first draft for the Camp NaNoWriMo event in August this year – so in one month! 🙂
9. Who or What inspired you to write this book?
Uhh… I think I should refer back to question no. 2… Thus it’s my younger self and an advertising…
10. What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest?
Well… let me tell you, future readers – I don’t think many people will like it. Because I aim at shocking my readers and arousing many other disturbing feelings… That’s what will make people want to read it though. 😉 Be ready to experience something you never ever did before… be ready to fall in love with darkness itself… Indeed, it’s not going to be a light story. It’s heavy… but it comes from my heart… and my love for writing.
Now I’m going to pick up 2 bloggers who will answer those questions in turn and pass this ‘award’ on 🙂 And if I read right, it’s an’ every Wednesday’ type of post.
Have fun!
An Evil Nymph.
It’s awesome to get to know more about your book 🙂
It’s interesting to speak it out too! Thanks.
Wow, girl, this sounds so intriguing and obviously well-thought out. Good for you for persevering on in your dreams, Daphnee!
Thank you Janice! 😀
Good for you!
Thanks 🙂
