A Gift Of A Rose Daphnée Art, Poems March 18, 2013April 25, 2013 1 Minute Today, I have nothing to give you but this rose: Lying down on a tomb, The Rose, my Love: Lonely yet lively, Young yet already left to wither… Its thorns: Inflicter of pain; Its petals: meant to soothe. Sacrificed. Have a great week, everyone! An Evil Nymph. Rate this:Share this:TwitterEmailFacebookRedditTumblrPinterestLinkedInLike this:Like Loading... Very well written… 🙂
I love the poem and the picture. 🙂
I was confused at first by this picture, since this looks like volcanic rock and I thought Mauritius was like the Maldives: very flat coral islands. But now I see in my research that it was formed by volcanoes. I guess you learn new things every day. 🙂
It’s a tomb anyway in the picture. We never stop learning indeed!
Proper awesome that! Bittersweet and moving.
Thanks a lot!
Sad, passionate beautiful. I was hoping for the rose to bloom and find its happiness but in real life we all know that is not always the case. Great writing my friend.
Thank you! Yes indeed…
Well done, great sense of pathos and pity, I love it 🙂
