Weekly Photo Challenge: Future Tense

This week, my mission as a visual blogger, an observer, was a little tricky.

Future Tense: that’s the given theme.

Thus the challenge is to capture a moment that promises the future while being in the present. Well…

drawing in progress

Easy!

In fact as much as being a writer, I also love drawing…

In fact, I’ve realised that I love all kinds of art. Even the art of numbers (maths)! Of course, I’m not good at all of them, but my passion for the arts never ever changes.

That was why, in November 2012, I decided to take part in a visual arts course, just for fun. 🙂 Of course this is nothing new to my old faithful readers.

To tell you the truth, I mainly did this because I missed drawing and painting and getting visually creative… (which I was when I was like between 3-9 years old)

And the photo above simply shows one of my drawings-in-progress. It shows the back body of a naked women (since the last lesson we did in the course was nude art). A drawing obviously incomplete but which I can’t wait to finish and polish and put all my artistic love in it 🙂

What does it have to do with ‘future tense’? Well, any work-in-progress conveys the aspect of ‘future’, as it’s something we are currently creating, but it is not done yet – it will soon though, the work is very much present, but it is to be completed in the future. Do you get what I mean? It’s the process of moving forward, of progressing in the work, frozen in a photo.

Of course, I had thought of my writings-in-progress, but I couldn’t think of any photo to exactly convey them. 😛
