I lately received an award from Pudding Girl and this one is a very unique type of award. It’s a sort of a get-to-know-each-other game 🙂 It’s been originally posted by Mrs Hobbles and it just looks so much fun!
Nowadays teens at 17 are much wiser. And this is due to our various experiences or scenes we have witnessed. Doesn’t mean that our life was full of epiphanies. We learn with our mistakes, we learn how to heal after being hurt…
Anyway, this is an inspiring list – a must-read!!
INJUSTICE! I’m so disappointed with their behaviour….
This week was all wrong. It broke and redefined all the conceptions I had of my school but unfortunately the conclusions were scary and revolting. Our school is considered an ‘elite’ high school which only brilliant girls attend but sadly intelligence doesn’t always rhyme with good conduct or nice manners…
Bullying is the act of intimidating a weaker person. Bullying is being noisily domineering. Bullying is aggressive behavior, with negative intent, directed from one person to another where there is a power imbalance. Bullying is similar to a hate crime. But most importantly, bullying is wrong! Everywhere these can be read, be it on the net or in brochures, and all promote ‘reporting bullying’, ‘standing up’ and ‘speaking out’. They say stuff like ‘Kids must be able to safely report incidents of bullying, knowing when to report, how to report, and where to report. Students must know that they will be heard and that you will…

I realised that I didn’t discover many new websites for me to share with you this month. To tell you the truth it has been in all a very… moody June, but despite all of this, I am still committed to blogging 🙂 I just can’t let YOU down, my wonderful readers!
That’s why I’m going to start this monthly post by thanking two dear bloggers who have given me awards each during the month! 🙂
Blogging is another part of your immense life which involves so many other aspects like work or family…
There is a time when it seems that everything is balanced, your time scheduled and your days well spent, but sometimes it all goes unexpectedly wrong.
You might have noticed that I usually blog every two days but at times I expand it to three days’ interval and that is mostly either because of school/tiredness or because of… feelings.
Credits to Google Images – as always.
Apart from my birthday, what can I possibly share with you for the month of May…?
First of all let’s say that I was very much concerned about my future as a student – i.e. I was browsing through various universities’ websites, and I’ve found many to which I might apply – all around the world! And then I thought about my career and dreams and I have two of them: creative writing (ha! of course! who wouldn’t have guessed that xD) and performing arts – which is plainly acting.
I’ve been wanting to write this post for a long time actually, because I know that most people are so overwhelmed with work/school that they tend to neglect their personal/family life/hobbies. They forget to relax.
That’s when they’re supposed to stand up and say: I need to organise myself.
Sometimes it’s nice to follow one’s instinct etc… but at other times, a schedule is needed. Especially for us, bloggers. So many bloggers tend to neglect their blog and post too irregularly. Of course, everyone has a life out of this virtual world. But some are frustrated about not meeting both the needs of their real and virtual life.
Just like me.
I like to be in both worlds and I hate it when it’s unbalanced. So what’s my solution? How can we balance these two again after losing control?
‘Busy’ and ‘Moody’ – these two words described this month and are mostly the products of my trip to Malaysia, yet which I’ll never regret of course, because I have to adapt myself again to Mauritius, to school and activities at the same – which includes blogging! I’m still struggling to get back into my routine. *sigh*
Anyway let the list of my bookmarked websites of this month of April begin!
Today I’m taking the plane to fly to Malaysia!! For one week! (so as to be able to return before school starts again)
In my Advice on Guest Posting post I promised you to talk about another and easier way to promote your blog via other blogs, which is link exchange! So here I’m keeping my word 🙂
What is link exchange?
It is a very simple process to increase traffic on your website: a blogger contacts another one and asks for a link exchange, which means that he/she will give away his website’s link and details for the other blogger to advertise it on its site, like for example in a sidebar, and vice versa.
Omg I can’t believe it… 😀
First off, I just want to thank everyone who took the time to participate in my photo caption contest. Some of the caption ideas each of you came up with where really inventive and showcase just how talented all of you are.
With that being said, there can be only one winner and chosing that winner was anything but easy.
The winner is:
“Cuteness of a Sad Carnival” (Photo 3) which can be seen here:
Please send a message to firstname.lastname@example.org to claim your prizes.
This is my piece of writing for the contest 🙂 I hope you enjoy it! And please, feel free to participate – there’s still time! Let the aspiring writer burst out from deep within you…
Chaos is a Child
by An Evil Nymph
I was blind.
At least, that’s what they all thought.
When I was born, the horrified cry of my mother greeted me before I could even taste human air. My father was yelling at the nurses.
“Get it out! At once!”
I never saw them again.
