*I know that my birthday was on May 3rd and that this post is therefore late, but oh well, better late than never! Enjoy!*
I am usually the one that organizes birthday surprises for my friends, but I never had a surprise for my birthday. It did not really matter either. We were in the middle of the semester, filled with assignments, thus I told myself not to expect much. I did however hint at my boyfriend that I would like something special, but I knew I was still better at surprises than him (haha).
Yet, I did not see it coming when my friends actually surprised me for my birthday this year!
I can’t believe I fell into their trap. They successfully surprised a typical Birthday-Surprise organizer. And here’s how they did it (in advice form):

Hello everyone!!! Welcome back to An Evil Nymph’s Blog!
I know it’s been a while since I posted anything here, and I intend to do some catching-up to keep my readers updated, and at the same time, give this blog something fresh to show off to those I gave my business card recently, hehe 😛
So, first of all, I am now 19 years old, since Saturday 3 May, and thank you for all the birthday wishes, to those who know me on Facebook or Instagram!
Now, if you are new to this blog, let me present myself before going to the updates: I’m currently in the time period that lies between high school and university and thus I spend time at home, aspiring to become a writer, and waiting for July to come, because then I’ll fly from my country, Mauritius, to Malaysia to study in Monash University, and more precisely to get a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology.

When I first saw this week’s theme, pattern, it reminded me of my art classes at school a few years back. We had to draw a specific pattern all over an A3 size paper like the wrapping paper style… I didn’t really like it at that time.
Anyway, here’s my take for the challenge, a pattern that appeals much to me:

On Friday 3 May I celebrated my 18th birthday and the very next day I ordered my long awaited gift: my very first tattoo!
For those who have commented on my birthday post, I thank you all so much for your wishes and I’m sorry if I didn’t reply to any of you, but there are actually like 30 comments and I wouldn’t write ‘Thank you’ 30 times, although I thank you 1000 times! 🙂
Then, some of you have asked the very frequently asked question when someone gets a tattoo, especially for the first time: did it hurt?

On Friday 3 May 2013, I was finally 18 years old!
Now you’ll know why I wasn’t able to blog until now.
So yeah, on Friday, it was my birthday. I’m not the party-girl type, so I didn’t have a very big party with drinks and evening dresses…
It was better than that.
And that was because we went on our annual educational tour (school outing) on that day! Such a coincidence, right? So we put our pens and copybooks away and headed for the wild forests…
In fact we went to Domaine De Lagrave where we walked among the wilds and climbed on top of a mountain until we thought we would die of exhaustion or cold or… laughter!

I’m late again, sorry for that, but I’m rather busy in this beginning of the second term of the school year; anyway, here’s your awaited Picture it & Write for this week:
“Happy 18th birthday, Lena!”
Their enthusiastic voices still echoed in my head, although the party was over for more than two hours. If I closed my eyes I would see their faded grins and narrow eyes and high cheekbones… I would feel their hands on me, congratulating me, wishing me all the best things in the world.

Today on the 1st August 2012 An Evil Nymph’s Blog officially celebrates its one year anniversary!! Yeah!!
Oh my god I can’t believe I’ve come to this, I mean I barely remember my very first post? At first I really didn’t know what I was doing with this blog, I just crazy wanted to have a random blog which would be totally different from my makeup one. I had no idea that by a year I would have 15,238+ views and 301 email followers already! I never knew that I would meet such a friendly and wide community of awesome and talented bloggers and unleashed my dormant passion for writing. I never knew that I would have increased my confidence and determination in life.
I would never have thought that I would be learning that much in one year!

The 1st of July: another morning, another day that I have to face, with mingled and shaken hopes, dreams, fears…
Well it’s like any other day. Except that this date has been holding many important events in my life. It’s a special date, that many have too I hope, which isn’t my birthday, but has been a boundary that I successfully crossed… in 2007…
1st July: Why It Is An Important Date…
1. It is my Diary’s birthday!!! 🙂
Am I hearing: “Duhh so what?”? Well I’m not really talking about this kind of diary:

Really, did you think that I would forget to post this week’s photo challenge? 😛
I just had to wait for my sister’s birthday which is today but which has been celebrated at my grandma’s yesterday… and because this week’s theme is all about family… well, let me present you my family!
Hey so from left to right: Me, my mom and little brother, Adrian, then the party girl: my sister Cynthia and finally my dad 😀
She is now 11 years old from today ^^
An Evil Nymph.
Wonder means dreaming for me 🙂 Dreaming of a better world, a hopeful future and a wonderful present – I mean present time… well I like gifts too. LOL
My cousin was celebrating his 7th birthday – on the same date that my parents were celebrating their 20th anniversary – on the 17th November.
Isn’t that great? 🙂
