Sites of the Month: December 2011

A wonderful and festive month is already coming to an end. It’s been a busy but also a fun and enjoyable month. I don’t have that much sites to share with you though because I was mainly trying to keep up with reading your blogs and with going out with my friends in the holidays.

It’s funny though that I did find time to learn cartomancy…

Black and Chic

Hey guys! This will be a short post. I’d just want to update and add some more spice to the Beauty & Fashion category.

Today I’m going to show you two of my favourite outfits I like to wear especially when going out at night. I like to wear black as it is more elegant and makes you appear thinner from a visual perspective 🙂

PS: I’m not Gothic although many people might think so LOL! Just that Goth is greatly part of my own original style 😀

Alright, so Outfit No.1

A Random Quote of The Day…

quote of aristote in greek

Alright I know you don’t read/speak Greek (do you?) therefore I’ll translate for you – thanks to google:

“He who can create, can destroy.”

Aristotle.

Well something like that 🙂 and it’s so beautiful and strong! One of my favourite quotes 😀

In fact the photo comes from a book my friend was reading and as I was learning Greek – yes I know some words lol – she asked me what that mean… but I had to search through google because it’s written in old Greek, not the modern one I was learning.

One day I even wanted to put my facebook page in greek and it was fun! Until I created my MakeupIsArt page (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Makeup-Is-Art/251998058144343) then I was worried whether it would appear in greek too so I changed back to English 😀 though English is still a language I never speak except for oral exams xD

Anyway, I’d like to know about your one favourite quote! 😀 please comment below!

My 21 Favourite Movies (in particular themes)

For all movies that I will mention, go to imb.com for more info on any films.

I just watched The Rite yesterday night at home and it was… awesome! 🙂 I’ve missed movies like that since I last saw The Season of a Witch with Nicholas Cage! I might be a girl but that’s one of my type of movies – war, history, myth, medieval times, magic, but not necessarily horror and especially whatever movies with priets and demons in it! ^^ though I’ve never been on the priests’ sides… 😉 except when they’re as handsome as Nicholas Cage!

By the way the list is not in a particular order. It depends purely on my sole memory. 😛

15 Books An Evil Nymph Craves For

Reading has been one of my primary passion since I was born, I loved to have mummy holding an imagery book for me, she would read to me twice a day, I had to buy a book everyday, and from the moment I learnt how to read I tried reading all by myself all my books 🙂

Maybe since today is a telecommunication world, I read less than when I was 8 but I still love books and respect the authors very much. Also since I’ve grown up I’m very picky when choosing what books to buy mainly because there’s no more place at home for them but also because I’ve limited myself to read ‘intelligent’ books if I can describe them as that… Books that are unique, with a good plot and skilled in captivating the reader. I no more read usual police force books – although I admit that I love Hercules Poirot 🙂 – or romance ones… (in fact I’ve never been interested in romance books, except those rare unique once whose writing differ utterly from the Danielle Steel ones).

Moreover, we now read differently: by blogs, e-books, facebook…
