These past few weeks have been the most hectic ones out of all my semesters in university: juggling among school work, extracurricular work and being a freelancer. I was able to manage it all in the end, but I did neglect something that I consider very important in my life: reading.
I used to read, on average, 30-50 books a year, and we are more than half way into 2016 and I have barely reached 10 completed read books. Shame and horror, I have not even been able to keep up with my daily 25-minutes reading time. Is this what I am becoming/what society is making me become? It reminds me of the time when my friend once said that her mom told her in her teenage years that she should make the most of her reading time while she is young, because once we reach the world of adults… it’s over. I was hoping to contradict this saying, but I believe this year got me.
I also realised that I have been on social media for more hours than I wish I did, however this is how I teamwork in my activities and how I learn about current events for my freelance writing.

As expected, I did not keep blogging regularly.Unless you considered at least one post per month to be regular and consistent, I guess. Oh well, life. School is making me crazy at the moment.
Then, today, something peculiar crossed my mind as I uploaded my latest Instagram post, which is this one by the way:
#Volunteering at Bangsa Ria, an organization for people with special needs, has been one of the most challenging experiences I’ve had. It wasn’t easy; it wasn’t all roses.
But it was worth it.
As one of the #MUVP groups, we hope we’ve made a difference as little as it might have been.
This is a #handcrafted#rose made by the BR members, which I bought today as an additional contribution and just because. It’s so #beautiful 🙂
#charity #foragoodcause #art #nature #monashmalaysia
Okay, I might sound stupid, but this was the first time that I realised that all this time I was actually micro-blogging on Instagram.

Okay, I have not been blogging for almost two months!
But I’m not dead. I’m still here!
I have also barely been on my Twitter and my YouTube. I kind of update my Instagram from time to time but it’s not like before anymore. My Facebook is the most active I believe because whatever happens in university is posted on Facebook.
And university life just took hold on me completely.
It’s not only about assignments and class tests and upcoming exams and putting my studies first, but also greatly about other activities I’ve been intensely involved with, like the Performing Arts club in school, and also travelling around, going to a music gig, tasting everything everywhere, hanging out with my new friends, dreaming about the opportunities here…
My life has never been so filled. Because for the first time ever since I discovered online communities in 2010, I’ve neglected this online life of mine, no, I’ve forgotten about it! That’s what being an international university student did to me. I have never felt more real and passionate; I have never felt so close to my dreams.
I feel so happy to be here.
I will be blogging from time to time to keep you updated 😛
About my YouTube channel though… I have no idea what it’s becoming XD
Anyway, have a great week everyone!
And don’t forget to LIVE!!!
An Evil Nymph.
First, I’d like to say Happy International Women’s Day – belated, I know – to all women who are standing up in their life for their rights right in the 21st century. 🙂
And then, I bet you are wondering what’s that title, well, I won’t beat about the bush, so An Evil Nymph’s Blog has been receiving blog awards since I last posted about them at the end of January. Thus since the beginning of February, awards have accumulated in my bookmark, constantly urging me everyday to put them out in a post, and today… is finally the day!

A Special Picture it & Write for this week! Enjoy:
Her fingers trembled with excitement as she turned on her laptop to check her mail. It’s been one day already since she last messaged him and she knew that he would have been to work all day, so she had to wait for the evening to conclude…

Hey if you didn’t notice it on the right sidebar…
Indeed! I won the August Camp NaNoWriMo, made it to 50,000+ words since the 29th. Yeah! And today is the very last day to update your word count and win! Don’t be discouraged if you’re not done yet, just keep on writing 🙂 And who knows, you might be printing your winner certificate tonight. (I did yesterday – if you want to see it, check it out on An Evil Nymph’s facebook page here!)
I’ll give you the details of my experience in a later post.
For now, let’s move on to the traditional ‘Sites of the Month’ monthly series, in which I share some useful or inspiring links that I discovered this month, hoping that it’ll be worth for you to check out 🙂

I always feel guilty when I take too long to reply and share the blog awards I receive, so hear we go: the shower of awards I got in March…
I first thank Namita Lad for giving me the Very Inspiring Blogger award:

This month has been very heavy… well it’s only the beginning of my journey to my A-levels. :S
Sometimes I just feel like I’m out of control – just when I’m starting to get organised! – and I just want to give it all up. But when you have awesome friends that can make you laugh for a whole day, you’ll just have to remember these short moments and your smile will last longer than you think despite everything else 🙂

Alright, so after this little update, here are the websites of the month! For those who are new to my blog, this is a monthly series that I carry out, sharing with you various links on several subjects, depending on what moved me enough to bookmark it…

How To Be A Safe and Smart Social Networker
How cool is it that we can at a click of a mouse or the press of a “send” key be in touch with people thousands of miles away from us, in different time zones or communicate with our best friends and families in an instant? Well, you might argue it isn’t THAT cool in relation to your family, but whatever…we can!
Things like Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Skype and MSN/Yahoo Messenger provide us with a quick way of getting information out there, of talking to and interacting with people we know and for that matter people we don’t know too. All this is incredibly awesome, but not without its drawbacks. Here is a savvy guide to being a safe, smart social networker that lets you be able to have fun, but make sure you’re protected.

My little sister was about to do some research on Wikipedia but it was blacked out. Didn’t really understand the situation at first. But then I was about to post this week’s photo challenge on WordPress, but when I entered the site, I saw that all the Freshly Pressed were censored! I then clicked on one of them and saw something like a strike… while going to my mail to see whether anyone else was talking about this… Everyone is eventually talking about this and spreading the message… and really, this PIPA/SOPA is serious matter, guys…

A wonderful and festive month is already coming to an end. It’s been a busy but also a fun and enjoyable month. I don’t have that much sites to share with you though because I was mainly trying to keep up with reading your blogs and with going out with my friends in the holidays.
It’s funny though that I did find time to learn cartomancy…

Did you know that on Thursday 1st September this blog celebrated his 1st month anniversary?? 😀 Happy birthday my dear WordPress blog!!!
Anyway since Friday the 2nd at 11.00 a.m. I tried not to surf on the internet at all… Friday afternoon was great because I wasn’t at home – was hanging with my family – and therefore I didn’t even wander about it.
My father often tells me that internet is like a drug to me and I think it’s true: If I have time I can even open my laptop just before going to school… and after school I actually open it all the time until I go to bed. Of course I do multitasking therefore my homework doesn’t suffer from lack of attention. I especially am addicted because I know there are always lots of mail I need to check, whether it be from my WordPress subscriptions, Youtube notifications, blogger mail, twitter… and I hate to have too much mail unread therefore I check my mail very often.
On Saturday the 3rd I went shopping since morning… and I didn’t have that desire to sign in anymore… the addiction was going away… but anyway I didn’t do much yesterday… I just felt I needed some relaxation: away from schoolwork and from computer 🙂 and it worked! 🙂
Then in the evening I thought that more than 24 hours has been enough because I always fear that my inbox will overload… anyways I’m still an internet addict, I’m proud to be one, but sometimes, this should be treated…
Internet addiction kills real life relationships and distracts us from our studies sometimes, but it also enhances my general knowlegde and my business management abilities – by monitoring 2 blogs – and also my writing skills! 😀
Therefore, I’m against Internet Addiction as much as I’m for it! 😛 if you get the meaning…
I’m sure many of you are addicted to some websites in one way or another. Who doesn’t frequently check his facebook profile nowadays? Let’s see if you got the same taste as me. So here’s the Top List:
First and foremost, when I open my browser, I get into my homepage which is Yahoo! So I check my mail…
1. Yahoo! Mail
Then I check other updates:
