Merry Ostara 2012!

Today as Wiccans we are celebrating the Spring equinox, also known as Ostara. It’s one of the eight Wiccans sabbats and thus a time to be closest to the God and Goddess. Blessed Be!

It’s an ideal time to take a walk outside in parks or forests… Be around nature. Feel its motherly energy.

I’ve read that earth meditation is great too and very simple to do, especially if you’re a solitary practitioner. You just have to lie on the ground in a natural park/place where you won’t be disturbed and start taking in the vibrant energies that the Goddess provides in such a blossoming time.

Therefore, merry Ostara everyone! Whether you being Wiccan or not, we are all allowed to celebrate Spring together 🙂

Spring in; It’s Brigid’s Day today!

Hey guys, I wanted to post earlier but I was bothered by the exams results and school and all…

Anyway today is my favourite Wiccan festival – excluding Samhain and Beltane which are the two main sabbats of Wicca – which represents the beginning of spring: Imbolc or (what I like to call it best…) Brigid’s day.

After the coldness of winter, spring at last begins to show its colourful flowers and green leaves… The sleep is over and a new season of growth and beauty has sprung up.

This is a fun craft to do on this special day which is Brigid’s cross. I did one last year with multicolour straws and I kept it for this year:

Sites of the Month: October 2011

Before I get to the point of this post…

This month has been very fully active for me. First and foremost: October is the climax of my student life i.e. it involves exams! And worse! Now that Samhain’s Eve and NaNoWriMo are approaching, my international exams have come to their hottest points too! I feel that this week will be a very busy – productive is a nice word too I guess – with all of this. In addition I have to keep up with my two blogs and Twitter and read the blogs I’ve faithfully been subscribed too and therefore I have to check my mail constantly… Moreover now that my sister’s exams are over – she’s just 11 – and as she’s going to secondary school next year I allow her to have a glimpse of internet – i.e. I’m sharing my laptop with her… so I have less time for my virtual activities… which is so frustrating right now! Then there are the passive activities like reading and watching my favourite series, plus my urge of the night: to write in bed in my random copybook (you saw it here) – which is starting to lack pages… aww too bad I so loved it! I’ll ask my friend to buy another for me 😛 (it was a gift from this very friend you see)

But you know what? I love my life that way.

Yes. You read it.

LOL coffee

Haha I always find some interesting image on Google to add some… uh coffee? to a blog post! 😀

It’s Mabon! Time to bond with nature!

The Wiccan festivals have a gap of 6 weeks between each of the 8 ones. Six weeks ago, on Lughnasadh I signed up into WordPress. So as today is Mabon, the festival of the Autumn equinox, it has been six weeks since I joined the WordPress blogging community. Wow. So much has happened since! 🙂

To all my readers therefore I wish you a Merry Mabon! Whatever be your religion… as here we are united by the passion of writing and expressing ourselves, not by anything else.
