Or mainly… about a crazy artist! Haha! Here’s the video:
I love the thumbnail I did for this one, since it’s so weird:
Keep watching the video to discover why I chose this as the thumbnail 😉
Until next time,
An Evil Nymph.
First, I’d like to say Happy International Women’s Day – belated, I know – to all women who are standing up in their life for their rights right in the 21st century. 🙂
And then, I bet you are wondering what’s that title, well, I won’t beat about the bush, so An Evil Nymph’s Blog has been receiving blog awards since I last posted about them at the end of January. Thus since the beginning of February, awards have accumulated in my bookmark, constantly urging me everyday to put them out in a post, and today… is finally the day!
It’s that time of the year again when I, as a high school student, have to give my best to the final exams of the year, to apply all that I have learnt in one year and apply them well so as to be able to pass on to the next new school year. Yep, here in Mauritius we follow the British education system, mainly the Cambridge syllabus.
And next year will be my last year in secondary school, I will be sitting for the A-level CIE (Cambridge International Examinations), which will determine my future! I mean, the end results of those six years of secondary school will lie in these exams and will enable me to jump to a new educational level, that is the tertiary/university level.
That is, if I get good grades.
All right, this is a shot of my most chaotic drawer. As you can see, I took it out from my desk and place it on it.
What I usually put in this drawer are various little random things… really really random things. From bits and pieces of papers to USB pendrives to paint pots… It’s the craziest drawer I have. It’s my favourite too.
And all of this stuff is mine!
The longer we stay and mingle in this wide world of blogging, the more I meet people and read blogs and the more I am confused when I receive a blog award. Why? Because there are so many of you that I’d love to give awards too… too many! And I can’t feel like choosing only a bunch of you guys, so I guess I’ll change the rules a bit and I just want to say thanks:
Why can’t I stop eating sometimes?
I think maybe it’s because, although I’m not depressed and much happy, there’s yet something that’s missing in my life…
Before I get to the point of this post…
This month has been very fully active for me. First and foremost: October is the climax of my student life i.e. it involves exams! And worse! Now that Samhain’s Eve and NaNoWriMo are approaching, my international exams have come to their hottest points too! I feel that this week will be a very busy – productive is a nice word too I guess – with all of this. In addition I have to keep up with my two blogs and Twitter and read the blogs I’ve faithfully been subscribed too and therefore I have to check my mail constantly… Moreover now that my sister’s exams are over – she’s just 11 – and as she’s going to secondary school next year I allow her to have a glimpse of internet – i.e. I’m sharing my laptop with her… so I have less time for my virtual activities… which is so frustrating right now! Then there are the passive activities like reading and watching my favourite series, plus my urge of the night: to write in bed in my random copybook (you saw it here) – which is starting to lack pages… aww too bad I so loved it! I’ll ask my friend to buy another for me 😛 (it was a gift from this very friend you see)
But you know what? I love my life that way.
Yes. You read it.
Haha I always find some interesting image on Google to add some… uh coffee? to a blog post! 😀
Something you should know about me: I can get easily emotionally attached to well-written books and good-plotted movies. I’m also a bit stoical because I almost never cry or whatever… even if sometimes I want to as sometimes it can be good for me.
If you’ve been following me on Twitter you’ve seen that my latest tweets talk about the fact that I’ve finished to watch the whole Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (TSCC) series yesterday.
I yet have to watch the movies of The Terminator in 1984 onwards 😀 (so excited for that!)
Back to TSCC: This is a series that really touched me and that I fully watched. I usually like very few tv series because the more I grow up the more I expect specific things from movies or books or series… if you get what I mean.
Alright I know you don’t read/speak Greek (do you?) therefore I’ll translate for you – thanks to google:
“He who can create, can destroy.”
Well something like that 🙂 and it’s so beautiful and strong! One of my favourite quotes 😀
In fact the photo comes from a book my friend was reading and as I was learning Greek – yes I know some words lol – she asked me what that mean… but I had to search through google because it’s written in old Greek, not the modern one I was learning.
One day I even wanted to put my facebook page in greek and it was fun! Until I created my MakeupIsArt page (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Makeup-Is-Art/251998058144343) then I was worried whether it would appear in greek too so I changed back to English 😀 though English is still a language I never speak except for oral exams xD
Anyway, I’d like to know about your one favourite quote! 😀 please comment below!
