On Friday 3 May 2013, I was finally 18 years old!
Now you’ll know why I wasn’t able to blog until now.
So yeah, on Friday, it was my birthday. I’m not the party-girl type, so I didn’t have a very big party with drinks and evening dresses…
It was better than that.
And that was because we went on our annual educational tour (school outing) on that day! Such a coincidence, right? So we put our pens and copybooks away and headed for the wild forests…
In fact we went to Domaine De Lagrave where we walked among the wilds and climbed on top of a mountain until we thought we would die of exhaustion or cold or… laughter!

Hey everyone! I’m feel so overloaded this week, I don’t exactly know why… well I guess school and tuitions are too much of a great part of my life… Anyway, to keep you entertained on this blog while I struggled with time management and homework, here’s an interesting guest post by Ken Myers:
Teenage Artists: A Young Perspective on Life
Although age and experience can make a profound impact on art of any kind, a fresh perspective on life can become just as meaningful. Teenagers from all walks of life have been recognized throughout history in a variety of artistic talents that have been comparable to elites more than twice their age. And that’s – weirdly – how I got to develop a new little hobby: writing letters to my younger self.

Many teens have the secret dream of becoming a famous writer just like for example J.K. Rowling.
But most of them end up burying this dream deep into the dirt long before they reach adulthood and when they are past this age, becoming a writer was just like saying I wish to become a Hollywood celebrity or marry a Royal family. These of course can happen, but it happens only to 1 in a million of people.
But why do people assume that the 1 in a million can’t be YOU?
If we get discouraged and slowly build a lack of faith especially in teenage years, obviously, we won’t likely reach the dream… 100% determination and independent voice are what we need.
If we go back to our childhood, we notice that parents and relatives constantly asked us what we wanted to do when we grew up. We mainly said things like ‘pop star’ but as years passed we began to think of the possibility of achieving this job and we thought, well ‘teacher’ or ‘doctor’ is more reasonable… and approved by the others.
